Not Toe Socks. Twiddletoe Tabi Socks!

Tabi Socks

Tabi Socks - wear with flip flops

OK, now these are really cool! Socks made to wear with flip-flops.

No, don’t call the fashion police. You know we all do it, so lets do it right.

Twiddletoes invented these cool socks — more like mittens for your feet — because she hated seeing her hubby and son wearing regular socks with flip flops. They have one toe for the big toes, and your other four toes are all in the same piece.

She also makes regular socks in awesome luxury yarns like alpaca and cashmere.

My cold feet would love them!

And all are made with comfortable and quality construction, too, including reinforcements where you’ll need it — between the toes where the thongs will rub and back of the heels where shoes or boots will rub.

If you want to learn more about Twitddletoes, you can read her blog where she will introduce you to some of her favorite artisans, keep you up-to-date on her yarn obsessions and projects in process, and let you peek into bits of her life.  She also has posted some knitting patterns, including her own pattern for tabi socks. I will have to try them!

Be sure to check out Twiddletoes in all her venues:

Finding Charm: Tigers Eye vs. Fiber Optic Stones

Filed under: From my Friends and Colleagues, Jewelry and Beads — Tags: , , , — Heidi A. Coghlan, Impressions by Heidi @ 9:32 am

I love the “optical” stones. They catch the light and reflect it in such interesting ways, not sparkley like faceted crystals but more internal to the stone itself. I’ve known that the Tiger’s Eye are a natural stones and the Optic Stones, or Cat’s Eye, are simulated (and available in lots of gorgeous colors) but I never really thought about how.  Sarah, of Finding

Charm, did.  Her post on her blog details it a bit more for those interested.  It also mentions a naturally occurring blue optic stone called Hawk’s Eye.  I’ve never seen it, but I love blue.  Now I want some!

Check out Sarah’s post for an interesting primer on the difference between Tiger’s Eye and Cat’s Eye:  Finding Charm: Tigers Eye vs. Fiber Optic Stones.
